Placenta Services - Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta Encapsulation is believed to have a number of wonderful benefits for postpartum women. Probably the most well known benefit is the potential to lessen or even prevent postpartum depression, but other advantages many women have reported is increased energy, faster recovery, increased milk supply and less postpartum bleeding.
There are two main techniques for Placenta Encapsulation, the Traditional Chinese Medicine method which incorporates the natural energy present in the placenta organ as part of therapy, and the Raw Method which specifically focuses on the potential nutritional and hormonal content of the placenta. I have been trained professionally in the Traditional Chinese Medicine method by local Midwife Shell Walker. Currently I do offer both types of placenta encapsulation, and with either method I strive to treat your placenta with the utmost respect.
Encapsulation is done in the comfort of your own home, and completed over the course of two visits which are sometimes spaced overnight for your convenience. Yield is typically anywhere from 75 to 150 capsules or more. Although the main purpose for these placenta pills is for postpartum recovery you may also save some in the refrigerator for future use during periods of PreMenstrual Symptoms or Menopause.
If you would like additional herbs added into the capsules I am more than happy to accommodate you, simply let me know ahead of time and plan to provide whatever you'd like included on the second visit. You may also request I obtain most types of herbs for you with proper notice, usually a couple of weeks before your due date is sufficient.
